BIA 2026: BSA & Building Code Update
The Barbados Institute of Architects invites members to join an important lunchtime update and discussion on the ongoing stakeholder consultations surrounding the proposed Building Code framework and the Building Standards Authority (BSA).
This session will provide members with an overview of the latest discussions taking place between Government, industry stakeholders, and professional bodies regarding the future direction of building regulation, approvals, inspections, certification, and code implementation in Barbados.
The webinar will summarize key updates emerging from the recent stakeholder meetings and outline the broader framework currently under consideration.
Importantly, this session is intended as a briefing and conversation with the wider membership ahead of more detailed in-person working sessions planned for June.
This is not just a technical issue — it is a discussion that will directly shape the future regulatory environment for architects and the wider built environment profession in Barbados.
