Welcome to The Barbados Institute of Architects website.
The Barbados Institute of Architects is the local body for architecture and the architectural profession.
The institute was originally established on the 10th April 1968 as the “Barbados Society of Architects” and later altered to the current title on the 30th May 1979.

It is with pleasure as newly elected President of the BIA that I offer this message at the commencement of my term. There is a comfort and confidence which I draw from the high standard set by my immediate predecessor and the generally sound structure of the BIA.
